Principal Designer - Patrick Conlan
After a long career in the Hamptons as a project manager and landscape designer, studio was formed on the basic principle that all gardens and landscapes are unique, flawed and nearly perfect simultaneously. The studio’s goal is to find the balance between those factors from which to create a single linear story that addresses each with as subtle influence as possible. With a focus on residential gardens and retreats, great care taken to manifest a feeling of intuitive simplicity and practical use in circulation, program and aesthetics. With a discerning aesthetic that lends itself to a reduction of ornamentation, creating a structure from which to the balance an environment that acknowledges creation over emulation. As an east end native, an innate sense of stewardship and respect for the diverse local habitats and communities are at the heart of all projects in the hope of fulfilling a sense of both place and connection. The culmination of this effort is the creation of a bespoke garden suited to each client, site and its surrounding environment.
